He's still working on it and is still in Alpha stage. We admins/ mods are still waiting for the next release. Intrepid is still chalk full-o-issues ;) Getting close though. Couldn't tell you when exactly.

The official release of Intrepid is Oct 30th...so I would not expect anything sooner than that..
GNOME 2.24.1 is scheduled for its stable on Oct 22.... ;)
