okay people, i have the laptop, unetbootin, a few disk images and ive partitioned the hard drive as i should. where do i go from here? what i know just doesnt seem to be working...please help :cry: and btw i'm using windows

Excellent guide to dual booting here, I'm guessing you might want to hang on to Windows for a while?

Whoo! Thanks guys, each one of those was great. though now it seems I have a new problem .so the OS is I installed: sweet. She isn't booting. She is on another partition from windows and nothing in my bios helps.she won't boot.and by the way I just live this this forum.

im using a lenovo thinkpad efge e535 with 2.7ghz precessor 8gb ram and 447gb hard drive at 7200rpm
