I wonder how many would kill to have what you have ;) I wish I could run it:

Hammer check ;)

I guess that is to be expected with a alpha.

I guess the karmic koala still needs to eat a bit more of eucalyptus leaves to get stronger and ready for its final release on October, how can you possibly be an alpha tester if you're unable to even install it because of that darn ubiquity hammering at the end of the installation???
I had it twice and gave up, I can wait to october to the final release which hopefully will install fine on my PC
I must tell ya, I miss Gutsy...

This means install all applications / games from a fresh install of mint, not just the ones that you want, both x86 & x64 (if you have a 64 bit cpu).

Could take a while due to Bandwidth constraints :)
NoGo on the 64bit though.

Gentlemen I really appreciate what you are trying to do for me. I really do not want to install Mint just to get it to work, but it is looking like the quickest option.

I am not going to do it today, please let me enjoy Ultimate Edition 2.3 at least for 1 more day ;) I will begin serious work on mint "Ultamatix style" tomorrow.

Thanks everyone involved in testing. I hope you gentlemen know it is not my job to support Mint, but will do so. My first job? Keep the users happy ;) I must be doing something right 6234.18 GB of xfer most of which in 2 days.

Well, I feel that now is as good a time as any to make my introduction on the forums and start my first post.

What TheeMahn says is true, even though Mint is a Ubuntu-Based Distribution it runs on heavily modified code. It isn't his job to port his tool to any distribution and he could well make Ultamatix UE-only. However, TheeMahn is a strong believer in the linux community and in GPL. The source for Ultamatix 1.8.0-7 has been released and available by TheeMahn himself. He is taking his own time to help others who use different distributions from modifying and compiling the released code and making their own Ultamatix. This being said, TheeMahn wants his tool to be as universal as possible but he is the only one thats programming it to do so.

This isn't a flaw in Ultamatix, and any user of Mint who uses Ubuntu Tweak knows that the team for that application has also just recently added support for Linux Mint. If anything it is Mint's fault for breaking too far away from the Ubuntu source name and code. Try any other non-heavily modified non-canonical official Ubuntu derivatives such as Fluxbuntu, CrunchBang, etc. They all work fine with Ultamatix and Ubuntu Tweak as well as most if not all Ubuntu programs.

TheeMahn is taking his own time to code it for alternate distributions and thats why he needs help from the community to get it working. Pierre & I are trying to dig deeper into this Linux Mint issue to help TheeMahn in the most possible ways we can. As far as formatting yourself and getting this working TheeMahn, please do not be in no rush and take as much time as you want using your Ultimate Edition 2.3 as it saddens me that you have to take time to not only maintain this site, create and release your own distribution, manage your own updated repository, program and update an application for your repository, but also come on daily to help people like us getting your own program on third-party distributions that do not even comply with Ubuntu's original coding and answering questions to people who have problems with all you create, manage and maintain.

Ultimate Edition 2.2 & 2.3 were only a month apart and thats just barely a month at that. The whole point for this is that I want you to delay some TheeMahn, take a break and have fun on your 2.3 Distribution, let Pierre & I take some time to gather as much information as we can possibly gather (He also agrees to this as said in his latest PM sent to me.) Which I will post below since he seems to be having an issue and can't reply.

My initial testing still shows that it is V1.8.0.7 - not 8
It still won't load.

btw- I often can,t paste into the Ultimatix thread & I see that Thee may be going to install a mint onto his setup - - can you ask him to hold off for a while on that ??.
