psp video

Postby razy60 » Tue Oct 26, 2010 12:47 am

Hi, anyone successfully got a PSP video converter to work under linux, i am trying various at the moment, i can get some to convert video from xvid to mp4 but when they are transferred to the psp 3000 i cant see them which would indicate that they are not the correct format?.
I am trying to get pspvc and winff to work however winff has no presets for psps and pspvc is proving to be problematical as it needs recompiling.

Any one with any ideas?

cheers

I would give kdenlive or openshot a try because the maintainer for winff has never readded mp4 formats to it(you can do it because it uses ffmpeg to encode but it easier to use kdenlive or openshot) since ubuntu decided not to have them installed on the live cd they both have psp formats and are installed on both ultimate 2.7 and 2.8

Cheers for that. just before i read your reply i got prism video converter to work using it under wine. it is very basic but does the job, it wasn't for me it was for a friend, his laptop had decided to no longer support windows(sensible I'd say) but runs ubuntu fine. He needed the converter for his kids PSP's.

Once again thanks <BREW>
