No wifi connection

I am suddenly having issues with wifi connectivity. When at the logon screen, the wifi conection would be made on the Ubuntu splash screen automatically. Now, there is no connection at all. After logging in to 4.2, I can sometimes get access to public wifi but there is no internet connectivity. HELP!!!
