Same here.
No crashes or BSOD.
2 bsod's but were due to human error.

Solid and stable OS--Windows 8.

When people say they hate it, i assume its the metro interface. Suprisingly it works better with newer chips. Has tons of drivers for new
hardware too.

The biggest drawback is the UEFi...
And the metro apps, wont fetch much money for dev's .. it Javascript and html5... easily hackable.(only 2,3 words to change)
And the major population has non touch screens...
The same problem is with gnome3.
Too many clicks are required..

Both windows 8 and Unity's Environment (Notice I didn't say Desktop Environment) are geared towards mobile devices. Sure they work great on phones, tablets and maybe netbooks, but def not on a desktop. The Desktop Environment should be based on the philosophy of getting the heck out of the way. And both Unity and 8 do none of the such and should never be consider a Desktop Environment. I'm open to run Unity on my Phone with Ubuntu Touch whenever they get that working. And my daughter sure likes Unity on the netbook.

I can't stand the metro. I realize that liking Unity might make it unusual for not liking the metro, but Unity Dash can be CUSTOMIZED. It does not have to take up the whole screen. And it works better with the Desktop. Not to mention that multiple windows can be open at ONE TIME. Windows will be called Window.

UEFI is definitely an issue, but not a total loss. Secure boot can be worked around. EFI can be worked around. Legacy boot is still an option on many systems. And there is always companies like system76..
