I am not entirely sure, Thee wrote about it in this thread

http://forumubuntusoftware.info/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=8948&p=75630&hilit=suggestions+for+1.6#p75630

I suppose I could say without too much risk that it will have Mate 1.6 :?:

I too have had an issue with the download from sourceforge. I did'nt bother checking the md5 but when I try to boot the live cd i'm presented with...
Code: Select all
No default or UI configuration directive found:

Downloaded and burned it 3 times with same result!

Well..ok..

But.....

http://forumubuntusoftware.info/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9099

Can you check the md5?

I would want to know if there was a bad load on Sourceforge either way but I have installed a few times.

That message basically translates to

"I can't do nothin'!"

No matter how many times you burn a bad md5, you're going to get burned. It's important.....

This is going to sound bad but I download my .iso's on a windows pc and burn using image burn as I have been to lazy to learn how to do it in Linux yet  I also don't know right off hand how to check the md5 on windows aswell. I'll have to get back to you on that! I downgraded myself to Noob!

So..in Linux

Honestly..just download the iso

How to check Md5 sum with K3B.....

My burner is unplugged, Radio Shack is very far away and I ran out of sata cables, my netbook..is a netbook(no burner) and my other PC's are Crunchified....

Off-Topic :
I am liking the USB, but Unotbootin sucks..so bad. Just in case I wasn't clear..Unotbootin..It sucks...a lot.

If you are using Ubuntu, and installing Ubuntu, using Unotbootin is like bringing a kitten to a polar bear fight. If it works, you will have no idea why, if it doesn't work, it certainly won't tell you what went wrong, but it's probably because you brought a kitten to a polar bear fight.
Use Start Up Disc Creator. Bee Careful..Buzz Buzz

Soooo..back to K3B

Navigate to your file, Right Click, and load with K3B

md6check.png

Now it will generate a Md5 sum for you..

Yes it is completely normal capacitortree. I run a few 3.4 Lite's in my house and I upgraded 3.4 Lite justa s you did and it will default to the new MATE 1.6 and it's default settings. That is suppose to happen no matter what the OS. My Sid box did also. Shouldn't cause you any issues as all you have to do is just change it back to your liking. Updated should not break anything as it's a LTS. Just be carefull and read whats being updated and if you think you suspect something, then dont upgrade it. And if there is something your not getting back to your liking, feel free to post the issue and we will help... ;)

Try downloading with aria2. Much more reliable then a standard download from a web browser.

I've been using the torrent link on pg 1 of this topic and seem to be getting the same bad download every time.

Here are my results. The first is what it is supposed to be via the list of md5sum checksheet on this forum. The second is what I've been getting. I will point out that the second md5sum has been identical on all three downloads. Can anyone verify if the first is in fact the correct md5sum??
