Help & support for Ultimate Edition 2.7

Re: Nvidia Video Cards issues please post here.

After this post,
I did an update by seeing a notification for updates. It was asking for some 413 odd updates. I allowed it.
After the update when I rebooted. I am seeing my Ultimate Edition 2.7 loader progress in 2 bit colours.

The monitor then goes to sleep.
I am not able to invoke any of the Konsoles using Ctrl+Alt+F(1-6).
Please, I need some *urgent help* to get my PC up.
I do not want to return to windows.
Thanks
padrifocus

Never mind guys
I was able to fix it myself.
Editing xorg.conf manually proved to be the culprit.
I am also getting windowing effects.
Thanks

I am using Ultimate-Edition 2.7-x64. I'm unable to install the latest NVIDIA driver (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-256.53.run) that I downloaded from NVIDIA website.
I tried the following:-

Think you will find it is more like 25% . Sales would suggest nvidia has lost some serious ground to AMD these last few years.

I for one was VERY happy Ultimate Edition 2.7 released when it did.

Long live ATI.

That said, attempted a install of Ultimate Edition 2.9 on a system with a Nvidia 210GT. FAIL lol

Unity OZ = FAIL

Ultimate Edition 2.7 = fail

Ultimate Edition 2.8 = pass WTF Ultimate Edition 2.9 has the exact same kernel sets and drivers. What gives?

I really hate nvidia lol. I knew I should have just bought the ATI 4550 HD , would have been 1000 times easier to install.

Did you set your default sound to HDMI in sound settings?
