Help and support for Ultimate Edition 2.5

Login Choice [SOLVED]

Postby saiyuki » Sun Dec 06, 2009 9:42 am

Hi. Always one to keep up i installed 2.5 but I had the impression that 2.5 had the option to choose which desktop enviroment to use, but the login app only allows Gnome. Will i have to go through the GDM2.2 script again or have i missed the obvious (probably)

I am not sure what is happening with you system/distro, but all you of to do at login is to select session and then select weather you want to use kde, gnome etc. At least thats what i did.

Hmmm. What i have is the normal Gnome login screen. The only inputs are my I.D (highlighted), and after input, my password. :?

I have the V2.5 x86 version.

The trick is to select/type in your user name and password "first" then session along with the other options will come up at the bottom so that you can select which desktop shell you want, then hit enter!!

Y'know, i never looked at the bottom of the screen for the options :( I assumed that the options would be shown where the I.D/Password input was.

Thanks for the info.
