Image Image Image Image

If you have anything to suggest it will be welcome. And earlier i bumped on a installation guide as it seemed and it had something about the updates that i found interesting. It was in this topic and it was really big to miss. But i didn't have time to test it and now i can't find it. If anyone knows about it plz link it to me.

Thanks in advance, and amazing work. <BREW>

I don't know where you got that but we have no official installation guide. If you got it from here it was nothing official and was probably deleted so as not to confuse people like you. I don't know how you can read that anyway!!

Ok guys 'n gals...I've burnt up lots of grey matter in trying to hunt my problem down and this is where I've gotten...
This is from 2.6.27-9 which is working and how I'm online now: UTStarcom UM150 (Pantech) USB Wireless Card (Dongle) (i.e. not as in Wireless WAN/LAN...it's an aircard)
Code: Select all
$ sudo dmesg

[   13.353963] usbcore: registered new interface driver option
[   13.353965] option: USB Driver for GSM modems: v0.7.2

I've gone thru all the files between the two and have found they are identical...so I'm thinking there has got to be a glitch in the way the 2.6.27-11 &-12 kernals are loading the relative files that make all this work...which is to say the problem lies within the kernals themselves. There has been a number of bug reports submitted to the same or similar modem problems that have affected various brands of modems. Have not seen anything about a patch that's out (unless I missed it somewhere). Anyway, I've got 2.1 running with kernal 2.6.27-9 and haven't had any problems to date. If anyone sees or comes across a fix for this I'd appreciate it very much if you would let me know. Now I'm gonna forget about this for a little bit and try to regrow that grey matter ;)

Hiya,
with regard to your first image try this;

In a terminal, type the following

gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --recv F120156012B83718
gpg --export --armor F120156012B83718 | sudo apt-key add -

Where F120156012B83718 needs to be replaced with the pubkey number you are missing.
Do this for each pubkey thats missing - worked for me.

Secondly, libcairo2 update will not update as there is a dependency issue. I don't think we can do anything about that apart from wait till a fix comes through the stream.

Hope it helps.

No, I want some one else to do the work for me. How many times do I have to remind you of my epic laziness.

I believe I gave you something too, here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2720#p29939

You're lazy even to try that one too??
