Im Very New To This In Linux.Im Using Patition Editor To Partition The HD But Im Not Sure?Disc Labeling MSDOS Is The Default? EXT3 File System? Logical Or Extended Partition? I Gave Up On The Raid Thing.Im Just Gonna Add This As Storage In 2 Partitions,If Someone Will Give A Bit Of Help.Ok I Created 2 Ext3 Partitions Does Anyone Know About The Flags Option In Gparted?

It depends what you wanna do with this new storage. If you need it only as data and media storage you can format it in ntfs2 so you can see it from both OS's:windows and Ultimate Edition. In windows you can set it in 4 logical partitions maximum. <BREW>

Ok Ive Got It already in 2 partitions just for storage.its not showing up in my fstab.I can mount 1 partitio but not write to it.and the other i cant even mount.Ubuntu is gonna have to do something about this if they want people to use it.This is a simple procedure normally.Maybe im just dense. :mrgreen:

When you install it is a good idea to set mount points then. It is a pain in the ass afterwards(you have to edit your fstab file and add a folder to mount partitions). i.e. Your OS would be / other partitions would be
/media/Storage 1 /media/Storage 2 etc. You can use any names you want. /media is usually a good way to do it. i.e. /media/music or /media/movies. Here are a few link of how to edit your fstab file:

Just make sure you set the mount points when you install!! That is manual install at the partition tool!!
/ for OS
/media/whatever for one drive
/media/whatever for the other drive
Then the entry to mount your drives will be created in fstab.
