When you install an operating system you should have a option to select on or off. You have to install numlockx and edit your init default file everytime you install an operating system(Linux). Like I said it is just a pet peeve of mine. I think there was one distro I tried out that had that option(can't remember which one). This distro should also have this option. It's a small thing, but these are the kind of things that turn the average Joe or Joan off Linux.
Linux needs to become more idiot proof. Most people would just give up. Not everyone is a stubborn mule like me. Just a thought!! pch
