I have no idea....windows sucks with straight-downloads, so I stopped using them long ago....though, Firefox seems to be able to DL right from mirrors okay.....but, if it'll help, lemme know when a torrent is up, and I'll help seed (40-70K/s, unlimited bandwidth ).

As far as the script np I can handle that as well as the software being downloaded from one server or the next... You would be doing a great service to alleviate the "pound" from ccal, a great man btw. Ultimate Edition 1.8 gamers, I look for little shock to the system overall, Ultimate Edition 1.9 on the other hand I look to drop all servers across the board, I have seen it each and every time since Ultimate Edition 1.3 has been that way. All "odds" tell me it will be this way again ;)

I know this is not what you asked, but will take the time to make everyone understand...

Ultimate Edition 1.3 formerly "Ubuntu" Ultimate Edition 1.3 once released had 38,000+ people on one site and drooped the site offline, and that was a long time ago (at that time ubuntusoftware.info), today I have paid for 5 websites and am considering purchasing a 6th, sure to view any of 1 site I have lower rank (not that I care) it is to ensure your needs are taken care of as well as others. I will go out of my way to ensure you have the best.

Ultimately & I love to use that word btw, it is people like ccal & Paul that Ultimately make that happen. 1TB a day will not happen with your connection, does with mine and it is not in this house, my host, Ccal & Paul have that kind of speed.

I have seen 1 3/4 TB sent out in 1 day, Paul has told me 1 Tb a day (unlimited), Ccal at one time told me 200 ppl at a time with unlimited bandwidth, where does it stop?

This is fact, overall I get beaten like a red headed stepchild.

lol, I'm confused, does all of that mean, helping seed on a torrent won't help/isn't needed?

Yes all is appreciated, just most are oblivious to the type of traffic seen, no pun intended.

Man this is good to hear about a possible 1.8 gamers.
Its too bad my OCZ powersupply decided to have a stoke Sunday...so I am relying on my laptop for my work loads. I just hope I don't have to send my whole desktop back for repair.

And by the way...a good game for linux or windows which has been mentioned on this forum.
Hard-light.com
The game is Freespace2.
An average spacesim but still something better then nothing.
Intel Quad Processor 9450 2.6 Ghz
Microsoft Windows Vista x64*(Service Pack 1, v.668)
Ultimate Ubuntu Edition 1.8 x64
XFX Nvidia n790i Ultra
1 * Nvidia PNY Geforce GX280 1 GHz 1GB
4GB DDR3 Corsair at 1333MHz
1 * Western Digital Velociraptor 300 GB SATA 3.0 Gbps Vista Drive
1 * Western Digital 320 GB SATA 3.0 Gbps*Linux Drive
2 * Western Digital Raptor 10000 RPM SATA 1.5 Gbps* Game Drive (RAID 0)
I like answers that aren't correct from politicians

I am running the Ultimate Edition 1.8, 64bit. I just used the upgrade function on the desktop. I saw a lot of games (apparently) downloaded. After it and the distro upgrade was finished i found that I had very few new games installed. Some of the games I had to agree to a license also were not installed.
I had new chess games, but even Sauerbraten had not installed completely. Only data. I had to get the rest.
Some of the games on the list do not seem to be in the official Ubuntu repository either.
Should I repeat the upgrade process? Is there another repository I do not know about?
and also what was the distro update. Was that the update to 8.04.1LTS already?
Sorry about the many questions, but I am left a bit confused.
Otherwise this is the best out of the box working Distro I have ever seen. It saved hours of work setting up, even compared to the basic Ubuntu. :D
Thank you
Tango

The upgrade script will show the games that TheeMahn has put together for Ultimate Edition, however, even though the games show up, most of the games are not able to be installed/run on a x64 installation yet. TheeMahn is working on releasing the x86 1.8 Gamers edition, but has run into some uploading problems, so it's been a little delaid  . The best choice to go with, if you're looking to make sure all the games will install and work, is to go with the x86 version once he has it uploaded, though, I believe he said he plans to make the games work on x64 as well as x86 sometime in the future (I could be wrong, so don't quote me on that :P).
