how to turn off efects
Posted: Mon Mar 19, 2012 12:16 pmI started my Mac with the no effects option when I logged in. I still see effects when I chose items from menus etc... How can I disable all this eye candy? Thanks!! All I want is a plain jane boring desktop 
I need to have Ultimate Edition 3.2 run as fast as possible. Thanks!!
One more thing, how can I get a brigher desktop instead of the dark default when I installed Ultimate Edition 3.2? I saw the options under Change desktop Background but can't seem to find the right settings so that the desktop and menu items are brighter than what they look like now.
