V3.2 x64 Screensaver?

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 3.2

V3.2 x64 Screensaver?

Postby herrjon » Mon Mar 19, 2012 10:06 am

Hey... I have no idea where to find the screensaver settings for v3.2

The screen "lock" function doesn't seem to work quite right - and I'm sure they are related. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jon

Unless I'm told differently, there are no screensavers by default. To get to the screen lock settings, right click on the Desktop and select Change Desktop background. Click the "all settings" button on the top left, then select Screen.

Agreed - I love Linux for the freedom if it - especially this edition.

But? There isn't a screen saver selection other than on/off in the menu you mention.

My confusion comes from the lack of a "preferences" menu in this version of gnome. Previous versions had a "preferences -> screensaver" selection.

I've installed gnome-screensaver as it was in v3.0 but I still don't have a menu entry. Not that I can find anyway.

I guess I'm a noob? I've been using Ubuntu since 6.06 but I can't find my way around anymore.

Can you tell me where to find it? Is there a console equivalent command / config?
