x64 Installer Crashes - on "add user" step

Postby herrjon » Sun Mar 18, 2012 8:21 pm

I finally installed Ultimate Edition v3.2 x64 verion this afternoon but only after going through three (3) attempts where the installer would crash, saying that it was on the "add user" step.

How I worked around it:
On the sucessful install I did not select "encrypt my home folder" nor did I fill out any user information or location information until the "ready when you are" prompt appeared at the lower left hand part of the screen.

Being that the user creation step failed - I'm thinking that the cause was getting ahead of the script? I'm not sure the deselection of the "encrypt my home folder" had anything to do with the problem.

I'm on a intel bonetrail dx48bt2 motherboard system with 8gb of RAM, multibooted with Win7 on another physical drive. My processor is Intel(R) Core(TheeMahn)2 Quad CPU Q9650 @ 3.00GHz and I have an Nvidia video card.
