Awesome article Nascar59. Im hoping the publish a more up to date one this coming year. I work in an enterprise federal govt environment which has been steadily using Linux for some time now. In fact its growing more and more every year. The Latest IE vulnerability has really mad a bunch of us Admins laugh recently. When asked what to do we replied, how about pushing a real web browser to all 10k workstations. And here we are with Firefox pushed through Altiris to all users. lol. You think with all the maleware, viruses, along with IE and Adobe, windows users would consider alternatives for good. But no they still defend the Giant. lol Windows reminds me of oldsmobile cutlas with $4,000 rims on it. Its apealing, but the fact is the rims cost more than the car...

I think this particular topic point needs more interest. As someone who primarily uses Ultimate Edition and holds it in high regard, I would say Ultimate loses this fight.

I beg to differ. vb is a great tool to have a look at a distro to see if you like it. Maybe you don't know how to use it as it was intended?

I honestly used to think so. It is still a great tool, but not for evaluating OS. If I give the same parameters in creation as I have to the real PC I will not come anywhere close to performance because variables are hard. For comparison, I can emulate whatever game system through a variety of means but still..it is hard to blow on a virtual nintendo cartridge.
