Likely problem: it will not boot at all. Other possible problems: crashing, BSOD in the Guest and other random stuff that will cause it to not work.

currently installing it via virtualbox just out of noseyness, as i am still a gamer thats the only reason i keep windows around, hopefully developers will take linux more seriously in the near future, but it as yet hasnt happened to any great degree bar a few mainstream developers. even mac os suffers this.

i may stick some screenshots up if it works

edit: worked so screenieshots

Ha. You guys must be "mobile users." :x I'll stick with the DE's on my Desktop and Unity on my netbook and phone. ;) I like the DE to get out of the way when I do work... :ugeek:

Well, I got Windows 8 in September 2012, and have never had a single problem. I hesitated in getting it because I heard so much negative stuff so I kept my older laptop just in case - to insure I would not be without one because I attend online college. Well, to make a short story, I never went back to Windows 7 and can't even remember how long it has been since I even looked at my older laptop.

I think that perhaps many of the folks who complained in here had other issues BEFORE they got Windows 8, or just didn't really know what they were doing - - self mechanics, I would say. I have been very pleased and will continue enjoying using W8 - and look forward to the next new version - after the bugs are out. I have never been one to jump on something new until it is really working well, and this is the experience I have enjoyed for a number of months.

( Mind you, it wont ever reside on my desktop, for that I use Black Opal ;) )
