8-) I have Oz debut installed, been running it + my win7. I think it's a pretty good os. , kudos guys. However I just checked out Ultimate Edition 2.9 running live now. I love all the stuff + the flash, so unity might go i'm not sure yet sorry. OK the corruption part , it seems that something funny going on when I get update for kernal @#$% 32.35 . My programs on side bar totally disappeared , I'm partially locked out of system, the writing in system is part chinese, garbled, blocks ect. The lockout is partial like I said some programs will open and others I don't have access to I think (Admin pswrd) will not. Set up as same I beleive that part probably my fault. Wanted to know if you know of any issues abou this. thanks guys, and to get my access back I'm going to have to reinstall so :? :( 2.9 I'm thinking is going in, been waiting for 3.0 I been away from boards for awhile my condolences Theemahn sorry about Karen, read about moving and work ect. Be strong and take care of YOU first things first. peace out WitchyWays

You can always log in as root. Type sudo passwd in a terminal and then log in as root.

Hi WitchyWays,
Have not had similar issues reported regarding 'Debut'. Personally, I'm running the the series 3 Kernels on mine with no problems. Have you tried booting from a previous Kernel in your Grub menu?

Cheers.

Hey Moebius, thanks for the heads up. However I'm sorry to say your baby is gone. I did enjoy the O.S. for a bit, and I think it was the next kernel. Not long after that I seen official Ultimate Edition 3.0 release which I'm running next to win7. Speaking of windows, it's being used less and less even though I thought it like sliced bread compared to vista, (wow it was like M.E.). I wish I had your talent to write, create something like that. Sorry to say a sad goodbye and an awesome hello.

No need for the sad goodbye - Linux is all about choice and finding what is right for you.
I appreciate you having tried it and providing feedback.
You're still part of the Ultimate family, so there is certainly no loss.
Hope you enjoy using Ultimate Edition 3.0

Take care. :D
