Anyone knows if UU works on the newer hp dv6600s laptops?

Also, anyone have any idea how to fix-up the nvidia 8400m gs video card so that when running compiz fusion the graphics wont seem so choppy?

Thanks, any help is appreciated!

All I can tell you for sure is that if it has a hard time installing Ubuntu, then you are going to have better luck with Ultimate Edition. TheeMahn has taken a lot of time to get things finely re-tuned from the Ubuntu releases, and as a result, people are having a lot better luck with Ultimate Edition than with Ubuntu. As far as compatibility is concerned/ check the Ubuntu forums as well as here. This is a relatively new forum and is just starting to build momentum :D Don't abandon us though, we need your input and feedback if your laptop is a success or failure, or a successful failure ;) , however you like to look at it. Your graphics card/ chipset is not familiar to me, sounds like an Nvidia. Are you running this card on a desktop PC? Have you installed the drivers? Does compiz work better with "vesa" in xorg.conf file?

Thanks and you are right... There are alot less compatibility issues in Ultimate Edition then ubuntu, I wish I could "Legally" inject Nvidia, ATI and intel vid drivers into the distro. So the end user wouldn't have to horse around with it.

Whenever I try to VNC to an HP laptop that has the Intel Accelerator installed, the machine will crash and reboot instantly.

The problem is not native to Ultimate edition.
