Joke of the state!

Postby BBOSAK2143 » Fri Mar 08, 2013 11:02 am

Want to hear how you phoney the real details of unemployment??? Well here is how Tennessee in their vast brilliance does it! Number one, they simply stop issuing unemployment benefits whether it be TRA or regular benefits. This way if they are not paying money out, they show unemployment is down! Meanwhile, all of us out here, are either living on the streets, committing suicide, or learning new ways to steal from everyone! Awesome way to run a state, correct? So where do I fit in???? Well, I am one of these Jokes. I have been going to school, funded by the state, until last week. In their infinite wisdom, a brilliant way to help those of us in need of education, the funds I was receiving stopped? I only have 2 months left to school. I was receiving a measly $121 weekly. This is not a lot of money, is it??? I live 18-20 miles from school. I have to spend at least $20 in fuel. That leaves me with $100. Now I can continue, to explain my budget and how I can make it , but is not the point! The point is without any money, I am dead in the water and unable to go to school , finish the last 2 months and receive my AAS in BIT! Now you would think after a state has paid about $3000 per semester, they would hope for a return on that investment, correct??? A return from that investment would mean, the person has completed schooling, achieved degree and is now employed! I'm not sure on how everyone else feels, but I know if I dished out $20,000, I would not be concerned about the $1000 more to finish things up! Have been there! I dished out $20,000 for my garage to be built. It then cost me another $2000 to add electricity and partition a few rooms in there. Did I squabble over that? NO!!!! I simply wrote the check and made it happen!!! End result, it all looks nice, works great and is complete! Of course that is double of my present need, but matches my point! Now how did I get in this boat to begin with, you ask??? I was working for Johnson Controls a few years ago, in 2009. I made seats for the GM vehicle called Traverse. Our state, Tennessee, in its infinite wisdom decided not to help GM in their time of need. GM went north to Michigan and my job went out the window! There are millions out here that lost their jobs back then due to that fact. Instead of dishing out 5 million to help GM, the state to a dive for 20 million in unemployment!!!! Real swift, right???? Now as if that is not enough, seems most of us out here are getting the shaft again!!!! If anyone is looking for a great place to live, I suggest another state, as this is not so great!!!
