10k SAS Raid10 vs SSD Raid 10

I am considering replacing my SSD RAID with a SAS 10k RAID. Thus freeing up my solid states for VM's storage specifically. Just looking for anyone, from experience, that can advise one way or the other? Having trouble weighing out the mechanical delays vs the ssd sequential writes and random writes dissadvantage. Keep in mind I am not talking about my desktop here, but a home server running ESXI 5.1 that i just upgraded from 5.0. Any insight would be greatly appreciated...

All feedback is good pam, thankyou. This is a tough one for me. The ESXi Host runs on the bare metal. So as of now the local datasore (were the ESXI OS resides) is SSD RAID 10, and the guest vm's reside on the SAS RAID 10. I am wanting to change this around. What got me thinking about this is our new VDI solution (Virtual Desktop Integration) we spun up on some cisco hosts. They reccommended the OS be on SAS RAID and the vm's on SSD RAID. Makes sense to have the guests running on SSD storage for performance as the ESXI host just runs on bare metal. Most likely will do the same at home, just was looking for some clarification.
