Help with Hardware configuration ideas

Postby dalgar » Fri Mar 14, 2008 6:06 pm

OK so it's been awhile since I was last on here, at least posting. Been busy blowing up software for work. :D I swear if I didn't go into Software QA I would have gone into demolition!

Anyway I am looking at setting up a unique system. I have just purchased two NAT drive systems. Each able to have up to 3 terrabytes.
each 4 drives in a RAID 0 or RAID 1 or Raid 0+1. My BIOS will allow me to boot from the network.

So, given that I was wondering if Ultimate Edition will recognize the the NAT drives for installing to.
If so,
A) What is recommended for RAID config? I plan on making one a media drive for all the video, mpg, and pic files.
B) The other NAT drive I want to partition into multiple for having several OS's installed for testing with Ultimate Edition as main.

My reasoning/logic behind this that I would like to be able to test several OS's and still have a LOT of drive space for all the apps I use.

Your thoughts and suggestions would be welcome.
