Ratkabatz: The recently released 2.6.5 is the Ultimate Edition is the LTS version (based on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS... there will be a new Ubuntu LTS in a couple of months, so.....maybe a new LTS Ultimate Edition some time later).

I belive, each Ultimate Edition release, is rebuilt from the ground up, so no package to upgrade your 3.01 to 3.2

SO 3.0.1. looks real good, so far in 45 mins of testing everything going real good............................

but is any one going to do a write up and tell us what this is .......... what is it made from??????....... upon installation, once it starts loading files it comes up and says, Thankyou for installing Ubuntu 10.04 !!!!! so is it 10.04 or is it 11.10 ................ is it mint 11 or mint 10 ????

what is different from this one to UE3.0 .......................

why would anyone install this 3.0.1 if it is the same as UE3..0

and why bother with 3.0.2 .................... if it is just the same thing

Can some one please give us a little information

I just want to do a little Os write Up of my own and help promote Ultimate Edition

cheers DD

Since my previous post seems to have dissapeared, rather than go Gremlin hunting, I'll try again.
First off, it's a big-Hell Yeah! from me.
Second, I believe 3.0.1 uses Linux Mint as the base, but has been tweaked so there is no visible indication. Apart from one or two application additions , the main differences I can see are increased speed and stability over 3.0.It certainly starts up a lot quicker.Hope that helps Delicadaz.
By the way, if anyone wants to add a Mint-style menu ( I personally don't ) you can always try downloading and installing Cinnamon. :vil2_viking :weeee :th_bravo
All that I am or seem is but a dream within a dream.

The first 3.0 wasn`t made by TheeMahn, he was recovering from a tragedy at the time. Someone who is no longer on this forum pushed his faulty idea that was based on Mint through and it got used. It was flawed from start to finish.
