Have you ever transfered some large files to a usb flash drive, oh- say, 700MB ;) You start out rock'n and by the time your done your moving right along at a blistering 4MB/s instead of the original 26MB/s :o I could only imagine what kind of 'snail the 64GB stick would be. I truly believe that it is a heat issue with thumb drives that make them slow down to a snails pace. When they come out with a stick that is surrounded by a non-conductive liquid nitrogen or another inert gas that keeps cool under pressure ... OK, I"LL SHUT UP NOW :oops:

I think the best thing would be to just place an ice cube on top of the usb drive.
