The only problem with testing would be major chnages. Like support for multiarch was announced.. May be use of systemd instead of init (it's still a discussion, but many Debian developers and mainainers said yes to have it ) for jessie.
Maybe after TheeMahn releases his repo tool.. Someone will be able to freeze sid or testing and base a distro of it like ubuntu did.
