I think everybody wants this.
Ubuntu is great but its moving away from what linux is supposed to be...and always aping windows.

I think a debian spin should be taken more seriously.

thing is, I want a desktop environment I don't have to pay attention to unless I want to. I use Ultimate Edition 2.9 everyday and it's transparent. 3.4.1 is too, I am not quite comfortable with the KDE of 3.5 yet. The analogy is this, I don't mind working on my motorcycle, but I want to be a motorcycle rider not a motorcycle mechanic. Once I get MicroLinux set up, can I "forget" it?

...that's what i meant. Yes you can completely forget it or put it on stand-by and go for vacation!
But i still think it has a lot more to offer than what it is now. Works as an excellent rescue disk and is fully
compatible with bleeding edge hardware.

Well I'm sure if Thee were to build similiar to mine, it would be amazing. Microlinux is based off sid and is rolling. I havent started a new build in a while. So my ftp server is down. All i can say is that I have been running sid rolling for a few years and have had way less issues than what comes around every single Ubuntu release. And Debian runs better in my opinion. Its good to see the change of heart from all though. :D

The only problem with testing would be major chnages. Like support for multiarch was announced.. May be use of systemd instead of init (it's still a discussion, but many Debian developers and mainainers said yes to have it LINK) for jessie.

Maybe after TheeMahn releases his repo tool.. Someone will be able to freeze sid or testing and base a distro of it like ubuntu did. :D

May be micro you could do a How To do a full debian install from businesscard iso

• 1GB Radeon(TheeMahn) HD 7750M GDDR5 Graphics [HDMI]
• 6GB 1600DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• 750GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive
• Intel 2x2 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN + Bluetooth(R)
• Full-size Radiance backlit keyboard.

Debian gods, pleas let us use systemd.

I am not sure how I feel about multiarch. Will just have to wait I guess.

Micro, still loving your distro. Put it on a USB for working on WINDOWS fails.
