I downloaded this aria2. When I search for aria2 I can't find it. Is there another name it installs as? I searched all through my applications unless it's an add on to a browser?

Thanks :)

Here are my results. The first is what it is supposed to be via the list of md5sum checksheet on this forum. The second is what I've been getting. I will point out that the second md5sum has been identical on all three downloads. Can anyone verify if the first is in fact the correct md5sum??

The second one is correct.

Downloading both to check..not sure what happened, user error on my part I assume.

Ok thanks. I had a feeling it was right cause I kept getting the same results. It is always possible that I copy and pasted the wrong md5sum too though.

Oops, I meant aria2c. Available with apt-get. For example:
Code: Select all
aria2c http://sourceforge.net/projects/ultimateedition/files/ultimate-edition-3.0-gamers.iso/download

will download into the directory you are in. Best part is that it attempts to check the "Image" of whatever you are downloading, and compares at the end. Also if you stop the download, you should be able to start it later where you left off.

I forgot to mention that I was Downloading the x64 version from sourceforge. I did download the x64 version from the link in this topic but have not had a chance to check it out yet. I noticed Xan is running x32, has anyone stated which version (s) they are having trouble with? My problem has been with the x64 download!

Can you check the md5?

I would want to know if there was a bad load on Sourceforge either way but I have installed a few times.

No matter how many times you burn a bad md5, you're going to get burned. It's important.....

Ok, sorry it took me so long. The md5 from sourceforge did not match. Don't know if it was download error or a problem with the file on the server? I did download twice on 2 different pc's but so far have only checked one of the md5's

I did DL the file from the torrent and the md5 checks out and the live cd works

I was surprised how much the Lite version looks like Full version. I guess since it is Mate I was expecting a menu structure much like Linux Mint.
