Not sure if I might be doing something wrong, but the GNOME/Openbox and KDE/Openbox desktops aren't working. When logging into them I just see the logon screen again...

Lubuntu, Lubuntu Netbooks and Openbox works fine though:)

Does Lite mean beta? Because it sure feels like it was rushed out the door...

Well that was rued and quite un called for.

no lite means lite.

As in low resource low demand

as in basic

As in for less powerful systems.

Quite literally a base line OS.

NO distro will work on every system. There is however a distro for all. Proven that many times over.

As a rule of thumb, if state of the art don't work, LTS will.

It was heavily tested via beta team and we found it fully stable on all test systems.

TheeMann said "Remember this is lite" at the beginning of this thread, thus my question. It sounded like he meant it was a beta, plus I`ve never had to prompt a Ultimate Edition OS before. Relax dude.

No, it is not beta and no it was not rushed. I had very little to work with as far as space of the cd. As far as boot my PC, Goliath's PC, Meisters PC, my laptop, and a Asus EEE pc boots directly to the desktop. This is the first case / situation I have heard of. I am basing my assumption off only what I have seen with my own eyes. I am not taking into account the 50 or so admin / mods & beta testers word, even though I have seen screenies of them running it & trust them fully.

I would like to see your specs so I can further review your situation.
