Issues with Devede in 3.0 and 3.0.1

Hello i actually moved over to 3.0.1 kinda hoping that the devede issue would not exist in it but it still does. upon trying to create a .iso image file i always run into this issue "unable to create dvd tree, maybe you ran out of disk space?" or something close, it was the same in 3.0. i have never had this issue before but i have tried and tried to find out what is wrong, tho i even tried to upgrade devede to the latest version, but so much had to be updated to do so and i just got annoyed with it, im trying one last time making a "hidden" menu because someone said that worked to bypass the problem. but idk if it will fail, i have tested on 2 computers now, mine with a single core 2.4ghz processor, 2 gigs of ram about 50 gigs of space for temp in / as well as 1tb in /home this pc is using 8 processors 2.2 ghz, has 20 gigs of free space for temp in / and 100gigs or more in /home as well as 3.1 gigs of avalable ram (six in total but i need to switch over to the pae kernel which i havent done yet) any ideas on what is going on, where to look or what to tweak? if you do know please let me know and be detailed about it please. i need to run this fix on 2 different systems. oh and btw the better of the two systems everything is running off a usb external hdd like a live distro but it is a full install on an external hard drive.

** Update, with the menu feature enabled it took me 38 minutes and it actually did work, so why is it not working without the menu? if i turn off the menu on the disk because im only encoding one video file from .avi to the dvd image it fails

Try un installing it and re-installing it. Go to the devede site and check to see if all the dependencies are met.

for the most up to date version they are not for the current version i am running they are

Current Version 3.21.0 (2011-12-30)
I have Version 3.16.9 (2010-07-03) or i have Version 3.16.8 (2010-04-18) its the orgional version that comes with Ultimate Edition 3.0 and 3.0.1

As long as i create a menu but basicly hide it, set it to autostart the first title then loop back to the same title when finished i don't have an issue, but it seems to be an issue with any distro from 10.04 up and the version included with Ultimate Edition 3.0 and 3.0.1. i want to find a simple fix or come up with a script that would solve the issues with this for any other users that may have this same issue, and since it is not a hardware issue because of the different hardware i have tried it on i wanna find a fix for people to use other then a full reinstall and or update

also i did reinstall it on Ultimate Edition 3.0 with no luck at fixing the issue but it was with the same version, the update has a lot of missing dependences that must be updated but are not listing in the software sources even after running a full update with all repositories active

Sometimes you have to resolve dependencies yourself.

yeah and im not so good with scripts yet, i have one for VFalerter that a friend of mine wrote i can use it as an example or maybe talk to him about wrighting one to use to update devede to the latest version then pass it out so everyone can update that wants to (once all the bugs are worked out of the script) make lives a little better and lend a hand insted of saying "hay threeman there is an issue with devede" lol i know he has a lot on his plate i love his OS and id feel good if i was able to give something back to the people who made such an amazing OS just as a thank you and to help out

I never used Devede. I use a MS program called DVD Flick to create a DVD. It's slow but it works. Easy VCD is a good DVD ripper.

yeah but im creating .iso files and i stopped using windows a few years ago, heck im running a bran new laptop with windows 7 on it with my external hdd because i refuse to use what i feel is crap

tho as for devede it only takes me about 36 minutes to make a 2.5 gig iso file that will play on any device i have tried so far, a few years back i used nero and i never had this good of compatability with nero, my xbox org wont play anything from nero but it reads devede's disks so easily (actually better then an orgional dvd)

I only use XP Pro. That's their best one.

ill agree with that xp was one of microsoft's best OS's but it wasn't stable enough for me, i have an old pos computer its all i can afford and windows just didnt do what i wanted, ever since switching to Ultimate Edition ive been so much happier with the abilites it has allowed me to do, like running a full distro from a usb hdd, and ive has so much less issues, no BSOD no random "@$#! you" when the pc decides not to do something and no once a month "please reactivate your pc" or "your key is invalid" after 3 months. ive always had issues with microsoft, im not a mac person but i sware id rather use a mac

The trick with XP is disable automatic updates, turn off balloon tips.
