Wow that is slow. You must have a very busy provider bandwidth or a very slow connection.
By all means try the Torrent. I have never had a lot of real difference with download using a Torrent but, my download sped ain't too bad. I can usually download a CD worth in about 17 minutes and the Ultimate Edition ISOs in around an hour.
Maybe someone here can mail you a CD if they live in your location... I don't mean to be cheeky or anything, just thinking that you are maybe getting corrupt files with the downloads.

Actually I have a very fast bandwidth speed. I downloaded xubuntu in about 7 minutes. I have a feeling I am on a slow connection with 2.6.3. Where can I get the torrent file from?
I am in Ottawa Canada by the way.
I have tried several distros in the past two weeks and I keep coming back to Ultimate Edition because it makes sense to me. I know where everything is located and so far it works fine except for Software Sources which doesn't launch at all.

Where to get the Torrent? That is a good one. I haven't had to look so I'm afraid I can't answer that. Maybe you can find a 'Mirror' site for Ultimate Edition 2.6.3 LTS that will give you better download speed. Post a question about Torrent downloads of the different Ultimate Edition versions. Maybe someone else knows. I have a feeling that there may not be any though.
If you do a search for 'Software sources' I believe that topic has been discussed recently and I think it was solved too.
