Are we there yet..?

Postby cowboy » Thu May 26, 2011 1:24 pm

3.0...It's been quite a road to here.
Started with Ultimate Edition 1.4 a few years back...liked it because of the dark theme and ease of install.
TheeMahn had his thread in the Ubuntu forum and at that time he answered everything you could throw at him, and by the way he did answer every question. That would not even be feasible now. The reason of this thread is kind of two fold, where is Ubuntu going...? We have Unity now..personaly I use the classic gnome desktop, that too will change with Ubuntu 11.10 as it will not be included as a default choice. TheeMahn will probably change that in our system, not trying to second guess him though. Not a big fan of KDE, but it's really looking better as the changes are made with Gnome environment... :|
Thought i dig up a old screenshot, mind you simple, but real pretty....1.6 default look

cowboy, it seems like it was just yesterday we were all running Ultimate Edition 1.4/1.6 and now, where are we? Ultimate Edition 3.0 is just around the corner for a release. Man time flies. It was and will remain a good ride as long as we are still using the same recipes and improving on them. Long live Ultimate Edition. Thanks for the post cowboy :D <BREW>

Thanks JOHNNYG. billhedrick it does not matter when you started bro, all that matters it that you "we" are all here now. If you started off at Ultimate Edition 2.0, good race man, your still here, and you still have not put down the baton!!
