Post any problems with Ultimate Game Edition here.

Having a couple of problems,

I just finished installing Ultimate Edition Gamers on a 2nd PC, this is my second time installing it, I checked the dvd burn, I burned it with Borasso at 4x, and it was a perfect burn by running . My problem is trying to either use Ultamatix for installing restricted extra's, and it gives me a fatal error, and also I try to use Synaptic and click on re-load available packages, and I get an error, Method gave invalid 400 URI Failure message.
I have tried searching though the posts, sorry if I have missed any instructions I should have found.
I tried doing this in terminal as well:

I'm a newbie trying and learning, I got my first pc up and running with Ultimate Edition 2.0 and it's running great.
I thought I'd try 32 bit Gamers out since I have some older hardware.

Secondly: I have not taken a second to thank TheeMahn, and everyone that gives so much of their time and support, it is very much appreciated!!!!!! The dream is to be totally rid of Windows, I am learning, but because of all of you, and your support, in the near future this can come true.

Corsair 2Gig ram
Maxtor 25 GIG IDE HD

i installed gamers a few days ago,and updated just fine.last night i got that same error.
so......... i just thought i goofed the install up(i was loading some toys on it) and reinstalled.
i have the same error..........grrr.....so i think the install is fine,maybe something wrong with the repo's?
i dont know?sometimes its best to wait a few and try to update,seems to work for me most of the times.

but by far this is the best distro ive come upon(and im a distro whore)

Just recently installed gamers edition and i like it but one thing is bugging me. I can't join any server in the games(warsow, actioncube, alien arena etc), the list of servers comes up but when i go to join a game it doesn't download or start. I thought it might be the firewall (using gufw by the way), but i tried opening the ports and disabling it in the gui but neither worked. Oh, and i'm not behind a router. Can someone help

are the games freezing?do you have visual effects for the desktop on?(dont know if this matters)
I never used a firewall with linux.from what i read most think there is no reason to use one.(but i am behind a router)all the games work outa the box for me,maybe unistall youre firewall,or prevent it from starting on boot,if it is.

I tried turning the visual effects off, didnt make a difference. I was able to get saurbraten online so i doubt its the firewall. Guess i'll play around with it a little more.

is it gamers 2.0 that you have?another thing is in most games you can config you internet speed.i do know if these are not set right it will play havoc on you're connection.

when you join a server does it start to download the maps and such?

nope doesn't download anything.

i pretty much just wanna play warsow. i wanna try to change the connection settings but i don't see any options for it in the warsow menu.
