Installing Wireless Netork adapter: Makefile

Help and support for Ultimate Edition 2.8

Installing Wireless Netork adapter: Makefile

Postby justinstrack » Tue Feb 22, 2011 7:38 pm

I could really use some help in making a "Makefile" so I could install my USB wireless adapter & use it Ultimate 2.8. It is a Ralink with a 3070 chipset, so says the readme file.

I have the files on my dropbox account:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/271863/WiFi%20Driver.zip

I have tried the windows wireless drivers application & it doesn't seem to work, the driver disk uses a .exe instead of a .inf. I tried copying what I thought was the associated .inf file from windows but the Wiindows Wireless Driver had a problem saying it was a invalid driver.

If this turns out not to work, what would be a good plug n play usb wireless adapter for linux use?

Thank you for the help.

If someone happens to make the file for me I will post a email address to use to send me the finished product or we will work out another method.

Thanks again.
