screen saver ? 2.8 lite (SOLVED)

just installed ultimate and lovin it. how do you configure screensaver to show random photos from my pictures file. hope this is not a dumb question but i could not figure it out

Hi 81golfcaddy

Welcome to the Ultimate Edition forum....great to have you along for the ride..

Under System - Preferences - Screensaver, you have the option of "Pictures Folder" and I also noticed "Random" near the top.

Make sure the pics you want are in your /home/user/Pictures folder and you should be away laughing.

Go to synaptic search xscreensaver, install xscreensaver-gl-extra & xscreensaver-data-extra, open xscreensaver find GLSlideshow, click advanced tab ,choose random image click browse and navigate to the folder containing your photos, don't open the folder, just click it once to high light it then click "OK" and you should be good to go ! :ugeek:
