Clicking issue

Postby ADPdirty » Thu Dec 09, 2010 1:40 am

1st i wonder why none or most of the right click scripts dont work, i cant create links to desktop or copy or move anything with right click.
I tried to right click "Create link" and it would create link right there, but when i copy that link to my desktop, it takes me to the right place but the address says "/home/a/Desktop/Link to Audio" which is false because that link is to /media/F_Programs/Audio which is another Hard Drive.
This is so weird i tell ya........
It seems to complicated to create shortcut. Should there be a default Create shortcut option like windows has ?
I mean this is vital function, almost as vital as opening My Computer
Also when i go into directory or trying to go into one or even execute one or another file i double click, but its not working even if i click it 100 times unless i click else where and then double click it again, only then it works.

Is there a fix for that ?
Thanks in advance.

Man you like doing things the hard way lol. JK <BREW>

4 options

right click and select add this launcher to the desktop or panel

or use a dock and drag and drop to the dock

or

right click / scripts / link to desktop

I dont have any "add this launcher to the desktop or panel" in my right click menu.
DOCK app sucks and i dont like it. I cant move it and its always at the buttom and i cant configure it so it wont show some icons i dont want it to show.
Scripts you said are not working for anything regardless of file locating on system drive or other HDD's

What was the 4th option ? ;)

Easiest way to create shortcuts is to drag and drop to panel or docky. I do show create link and then drag and drop the link to desktop works just fine to.

Docks rock, just love docky. Just drag and drop apps to the dock.

add this launcher to panel
add this launcher to desktop
is only available in the menu. For instance applications select item and right click and select add to desktop or panel.

you can also right click panel or desktop and select create launcher option to create custom shortcuts.

Sorry it isn't working for ya. Works great here.
