It's been posted on Distrowatch all day. So I suspect that its fair game on the servers.

How many TerraBytes will be used within 24 hours???

Looking forward to completing the downloads as I type.

Installed 2.8 X64 on my Laptop and its working fine.
In my laptop Compiz animations are smooth and faster in X64 than x86.

During live boot, i had the cursor issue but after installation everything is fine.
I couldnt find "Snow" effect in compiz, though its not much useful i used to show it to my friends to get their attraction.

"TheeMahn"
"No problem, I am sorry for the way things had to drop. I am sure was not you. I have restored netbook edition, will not be released under any circumstance until it is "good". I want you guys to understand someone leaked 2.8 I can not account for 183 GB out in a day, nor should you have to. This is the $#!% I have to play with and hate it by the minute. I seen distrowatch absorb us not on my screen, but a page I was incomplete with. Let them tear up netbook. A drop in the bucket. It is not worth my effort to find the individual(s) responsible. It is my job to close the gap.

Things will change in house."

The above is a quote from TheeMahn ! Still no "OFFICIAL" release statement as yet, But The cat is out of the bag! We hope you enjoy Ultimate Edition 2.8 ! <BREW>

Amazing!!

1. Easiest Linux install from the dozed or so that I have used.
2. First time I was able to do a video capture on a Linux OS.
3. Just love the eye candy and the good feeling I experience.

BTW I still have a lot to learn about programming and Linux itself. My experience involves old languages and platforms.

It was a really nice first day with 2.8.
