Hello PPL.
Today the Kernel was Upgraded to 2.6.35-8.
There are some issues After the Upgrade with the system like:
icons vanished, problem with the log in back After the Restart....
All will go Away After you will Update your system once more time - Terminal/Synaptic.
one thing you will have to look on - when you Reload synaptic some time it ended with errors/not ended,
Just stop the process and mark the Update/Upgrade.
Then you will see that you have Update/Upgrade to install.
Way?
well it looks like Ubuntu working with step by step process in the Update/Upgrade.
For the kernel Upgrade that is Normal thing,
But on the other packages it looks like it is kind of time table to few Release packages and not all what is ready.
to get the 2.6.35 complete Before the Release time + the packages at the same time.
So if things will go wrong ( what's new) the packages will be fixed After the Release in there free time.
Ubuntu servers were down Today for 10 min Before the new Kernel Upgrades.
well then , Just understand the way they work and you can bypass all the mess on the way.
Thank you.
