I am using Ultimate Edition 2.8, it has been working just fine for me, except, that when I installed the driver for my Nvidia card the GeForce4 MX 440 128mb...After I installed the driver 96.43.17, then rebooted up, my system hangs, and will not complete the boot up process...So since this is all that I have change, I am thinking that this is the problem...Is there anyone that can help me out here on this one...

Hello larry.
The solution for you is to stop the 3D from working , your Card is very low with the support of the 3D.
this is the reason way your system is hangs and not running as it has to be.
1- go to your Hardware Drivers and stop the 3D support.
2- Stop the compiz option + Desktop Effects must be stooping too.
Now see if this solved your issue.
