1. Settings of the other Systems of the Computer aren't been found, during the installation.
2. User Picture should be mini next to the name in the upper bar, or?
3. Evolution Backup don't work. Only the account, not the older Mails, and not the "Ordner"
4. Widerspruch(Paradoxon) in User/Groups Ask for Password. Accepted, but don't ask at the Start. It must be double somewhere.
5. I miss the 60 Second Timer by Restart/Turn off. I dont use it normally, but i miss it.
6. I see it by Kvirk, The trusted Starter Question is not there, by the symbol on the desktop. I cań't make him work on Gnome.
... I know that my Englisch is Bad, and I hope I can help, to find all bugs for a perfekt Meerkat Maverick 2.8.
7. The corsors are changing over Apps

about the 60 Second Timer by Restart/Turn off

try to add the shut down icon to the upper, this icon has an 60 sec timer.
I believe you can replace it with the existing icon in the corner.
I myself miss it also in U.E 2.7

You have excellent English for being German. Many of the bugs you have reported will be fixed naturally as an update. The cursor issue, you are correct is still an issue. I have fixed it for the most part exception being any Qt application or KDE based app the cursor changes. I have read how to fix it in a xsessions file in the /etc/skel I have not implemented this yet.

1. I would have to see what you refer to.
2. The icon displayed there is your online status, so no Ultimate Edition Icon there.
3. Most likely a bug in Evolution, you are not alone.
4. System >> Administration >> Login screen. (autologin)
5. I have no contol over the development of this.
6. Probably removed until production stable. It is version 4.0.0

It doesn't in 2.8 alpha 1. Hopefully this feature is brought back. I can integrate a shutdown icon in 2.8:

60 secs.png
It does have a timer. Right click your bar at the top and hit add to panel. Select shutdown.

I can make it so it is built in by modding /etc/xdg/

Hi Thee
and thanks for checking it out/
I think that the option with the timer is better,
because in order to shut down the system only one click and Enter is needed
while in the original option two clicks and enter are needed - what give you the feeling that some one did not finish his work on this button.

all the best

Hello,
Here is a list of things that don't work as expected that I have tried to do;

In 2.7 and 2.8 the installer hangs at 50% during resizing partition when trying to do a dual boot with 2.6 gamers.

selecting the “system” “tab” in sysinfo quits the app
Ultamatix quits when you agree instead of opening.
The wallpaper changer that JohnnyG found doesn’t open to a run command, so can’t select any wallpapers

Did the same to me, but

Ultamatix quits when you agree instead of opening. Didn't happen to me on the 2.8 x86. it opened as it should.

Hello, Just realized this the sound resets to mute. I unmute set my pref, and restart its back to mute setting when it gets to the desktop. I never hear any startup sounds and I have selected the Ultimate Edition 2.6 sound theme. :?: :?:

Hello dathem.

Yes this is bug with the sound mute.
I have try some workaround with it but no Luck.
As well with the VLC, they made new package that has conflict with nox package.
So we will have to wait for there fix for it.
I think that The Ubuntu team think about adding back Alsa mixer to be the Default mixer and not Pulse.
This for me make sense Because of the integrated with 2 mixers to cover all the options with the players.
I have write on this issue will ago here and on my blog (it looks like the live on my Forum+blog) :D
So this 2 issues have to be solved on the same time as I can see and understand the situation of the bug.

The last thing that I want to add to my Answer here for the PPL is the key of 10.10.
here is the package that you can install on your machine to have all the keys for 10.10.
launchpad-getkeys_0.1~webupd8~maverick_all.deb
1
(1.48 KiB) Downloaded 247 times

After the installation of the package use:

Code: Select all
sudo launchpad-getkeys

Then use the next command to auto remove the UN needed packages = 12 packages.

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install launchpad-getkeys

hit the Y+ Enter.

Thee,Cab & I discussed the same issue.....seems to be a bug....give it time...does the same for all the Beta testers.....

I have had the same problem in all versions of Ultimate Edition 2.7 and 2.8 that I have tried. This does not happen in Ubuntu or Kubuntu 10.04 or 10.10. Is there anyway to know when this might be fixed? Is there a "work around?
