Hello PPL.

For the Users that work with Ubuntu Tweak and do the test with the software,
Here is the package for 10.10.

ubuntu-tweak_0.5.5-0~20100628~maverick1_all.deb
Ubuntu Tweak - 10.10
(780.57 KiB) Downloaded 437 times

one more thing that you need to know with issue of crash report on the up bar.
This error is on the Debian package manager Alert.
So what I did is to run the 3 scripts in the terminal.
you must Enable in permission the Execute - mark the option - Double click run in terminal.

when you done , run in the terminal Update/Upgrade, This will Fixed the issue for you.

not exist (such as in our test suite, or simply if the system disables
it), do not crash but return timestamp == 0, as per documentation.
(LP: #267330)
* plugins/descriptions.py, indexDeb822(): Fix KeyError on "Description" when
running in a non-English locale. Instead, look for a translated key and
index that one.
* axi/indexer.py, setupIndexing(): Round timestamps when comparing them.
This fixes the test suite failing on almost-but-not-quite-identical
timestamps.
* debian/rules: Run the test suite during build. Add the necessary python

Hello Slopoke .

I did all the updates. 2 frikin hours. Wont reboot. Can't get terminal prompt. You need to work on that update deal. Tried all your tricks, what I could understand. I'm gonna wait till it's stable. ByBy Alpha. Good luck.

Let's make some order in things here please.
1- The system Build by TheeMahn.
2- The system Build on the base of Ubuntu+Debian Distro's & not as U.E Distro base packages.
3- I personalty Not the update manager of the U.E Distro OR Ubuntu OR Debian,
I show the U.E Users the way to deal with problem & the solution for them.
4- After the update there can be need for hard reboot on your system, then it will fix thing for you.
5- when there are allot of Updates Upgrades the system will NOT reboot , this is well known issue.
The reason will be because of Not enough time data processing /process not finish yet Before the reboot.
then you will get the errors/crash issue with the icon on the up top bar (crash icon).
6- The U.E Team thank you for your time and efforts for testing the U.E Alpha-2.

Hello PPL.

This is A big warning for you all with Today Update/Upgrade for your system!!!
DO NOT UPDATE/UPGRADE YOUR SYSTEM OR YOU WILL END WITH NO SYSTEM AT ALL!!!
Ubuntu will Delete your Ultimate system and will clear all the U.E Packages.
This is no Games!! This is Ubuntu System sabotage in our system!
So be worn to not make any Update/Upgrade to your system at this point of time.

BTW - Before the system was Deleted I gut one screen shot from the new plug in for firefox for you,
this plug in will be the Default on the 2.8 system with firefox.

So what was the verdict? I confer that there is no mention of ultimate edition in removals, but I really do not want to reinstall 2.8 again.

I did notice on a fresh install that the desktop (right-click) menu does not show up until a reboot or two. Same thing with trying to get icons to appear on the desktop. Now I know I am running this on a really slow computer, but I have had good results in the past. I would ask for suggestions but the reboot solved the issue.

Regardlessly the blue theme will be included, however the default theme is yet to be determined. Feel free to cast your vote here viewtopic.php?f=71&t=4921 , you may be changing your vote when Alpha III hits the net. I have a few surprises coming in the next release. Animated firefox is still in the works, works really well with a dark or blue theme, you will have to wait a week at least before seeing that.

Finetuch has witnessed this issue in KVirc (no right click menu) & a lightning fast computer rivals my PC minus solid state, enough so he drug his comp over here to get it fixed. Initially I attempted to purge Kvirc and reinstall which resulted in the same issue. I scrapped his ~/.config/KVirc folder and all was good. It is an Alpha so like I said problems are to be expected. I have a fairly firm grasp on how things work in nix and was able to resolve his issue. I can not wait for the day when Nvidia is natively supported in our world, something I have been enjoying for some time.

I am hoping by the time Ultimate Edition 2.8 FINAL hits the web to be there. This will put an end to many things I have preached about. I do not look to see bugs fully crushed in this department until Ultimate Edition 3.0's release. Wow, not only sometime in the fairly distant future, but a reality. I analyse things all the time. It is what I predict. This will not only plague Ultimate Edition, but all nix's in general until issues are resolved. You do know M$ has began shaking in their shoes.

Read the bottom line.
Without continued access XP, manufacturers of such systems would be forced to offer them with the rival Linux OS on board -- a situation Microsoft is hoping to preempt.

Great news for xp users and the likes ie win 2000. Bad news for nix users, that is O.k. refinement is coming. How can you beat FREE? How deep is M$ pockets? 1000 programmers paid 100K a year, nix programmers such as I paid $0 ;) Even at that rate, I estimate 100 nix programmers to their one. We do have 6 billion on this planet right? Who is going to come out on top, keep on rockin' the free world. There was a time Internet explorer was the #1 browser. What is it now? Don't get me into servers, this webpage was handed to you from nix. Apache is the #1 based http server, why? Years w/o rebooting not days and still stable.

I am sorry, I sometimes spout off irrelevant information. Hopefully, I have opened one users eyes. I do not have the time to post everyday, once again I am sorry.
