I really enjoyed all the different desktop choices on the odd number releases. I come to Ultimate Edition not for a trim OS but for one that has it all. So I don't worry about bloat at all, I embrace it. I know it is more work. If I can help out with that in anyway, let me know. Prior to starting to use Ultimate Edition, I use to build all my previous Ubuntu systems to have everything + the kitchen sink too. Thankfully Ultimate Edition has cut down on that previous work. It was perfection to me.

Thanks Ultimate Edition team.

I tried. I think there is issues with my PM system. I am permanently stuck at 4 new messages (there are none) and I can send out any PMs to others. Can you check that or send me to the right person?

Noah Nethero AKA nynoah

Requited to help start testing on possibility of adding other UI's to Ultimate Edition 3.2 type base.

He is NOT dev team YET. He signed up to help.

Thus he will not have Ultimate Edition 3.2 rc as a base. He will be working with Ubuntu 11.10 purging unity and creating a pure gnome 3.2 classic UI. Then start adding the other desktop UI's for testing.

Make NO mistake about it, this is VERY important testing for future builds. Gnome 3.2 classic is a new ball game. Thus R&D .

Lets also keep an eye on him for future dev team material.

Well both XFCE and Lubuntu seem to be working fine with the PCT build of 11.10 Oneric. So there is hope for an odd number release having some of the other desktop OS's. Currently I prefer XFCE over gnome 3.2. and Gnome 2.3 over them all, but that is just me.

Would Ultimatix have all of the stuff that had to be scrapped for size reasons?

Ultimatix don't even exist for Ultimate Edition 3.2 yet.

Thee has not spoke of his plans for it.

As it stands now, it will need all packages updated for 11.10 base and a new build built.

Plans are already under way for a pure Gnome 3.2 classic with a pure LXDE open box platform for Ultimate Edition 3.3

Offering eye candy in gnome 3.2 classic and lean and light 100% pure LXDE/openbox for slower or limited systems.

I have no idea what direction the polls will take, but should people want more we will give more.

TO A POINT!!!
