Installing Firefox version 3.0b3pre with flash support

I apologize for editing this post, many users here are not as computer savvy as you pch. I also want to take the time to inform users that FF3 is in beta, and should be done by those that really know what they are doing. I return the mic to pch, I did attach screenshots of what he refers to.

Go to Synaptic Settings Repositories Updates
system>>administration>>synaptic package manager
Check Unsupported updates(gutsy backports)

adding backports to your repo list

Close and Reload

reload repo list

Search for Firefox
firefox-3.0 is the one you want

selecting and installing firefox 3

Install
Go here http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download ... kwaveFlash
Download(save) the tar.gz file to your desktop
Extract
Open up usr lib firefox-3.0-3.0b3pre plugins
Drag the libflashplayer.so file from your tar.gz extract file to your plugin file
Now you have the new firefox with flash support.
