Some of your choices would need some explanation for why you chose those particular setups:

Why should files be downloaded to the Desktop as opposed to any other place?

Why not open new windows in new windows as opposed to new tabs?

Why clear all data, history, saved passwords, etc. when closing Firefox?

Why not save passwords and use a master password?

Why always check to see if it is the default browser since it slows loading and many of us don't use another browser?

Why check spelling? (I know how, and some just don't care....)

By no means am I saying the choices you made are wrong! But if you are telling people that this is how to configure Firefox, I think explaining WHY these are the appropriate choices would be beneficial.

Hello bpollen.

O.K you and the users need some explanation on way in this way and not other way.

1-
Why should files be downloaded to the Desktop as opposed to any other place?

when you download something to your Desktop that file will be protected by your Firewall.
2-
Why not open new windows in new windows as opposed to new tabs?

well this is my choice,
every one can pick the option of his way.
3-
Why clear all data, history, saved passwords, etc. when closing Firefox?

Why clear all data 1-live no trace on your browsing on the net,and do not Discover your password
and let hackers hack your pass in the easy way.
and clean the ram for easy browsing latter on,so nothing is store on the ram.
4-
Why not save passwords and use a master password?

you can use master password, last pass is the best way that I like,
but everyone with his comfortable way to work with his password.
5-
Why always check to see if it is the default browser since it slows loading and many of us don't use another browser?

we are talking here on FireFox and not on other browser right?
so that HOW TO is about FireFox and the best way to work with the browser.

BTW- you are welcome to post your way with FireFox here and to show the users one more way ;)
