the above How To has worked perfectly for me up until the release of Ultimate Edition 2.0. With Ultimate Edition 2.0 and I believe Ubuntu 8.10, the Bluez utility has been updated, and thankfully has made life a little simpler with the installation of a Bluetooth wireless mouse and keyboard.
After installing the fabulous Ultimate Edition 2.0 64, all I had to do was to click on the Bluetooth icon on the top right taskbar, choose 'Set up device', push the little buttons under the mouse and keyboard to make them discoverable and then simply follow the prompts! That was it.
I did choose to always make my bluetooth device visable, and now after restarts or after a period of inactivity, both my keyboard and mouse re-awaken (although to re-awaken, it takes about 10sec of movement on the mouse and keyboard, and from a cold start, it takes about 40sec for the mouse and keyboard to work - But it does work!)
Cheers.
