Activate the Ati drivers use the driver tool in system/admin

You will then be runing kernel 2.6.35-27' a lot newer then Ultimate Edition 2.7 offerings.

real pain to download it... i think the server is very loaded, the download is slow...it wil take a lot of time...so guy, i'll post back as soon as i can! thanks a lot guys!! so when i finish installing 2.9, i follow the previous steps to instal the ati drivers???

Try the built in Ati drivers first. Activate via additional driver tool in system/admin.

If needed, then do the cat 11.2

FYI Ultimate Edition 2.9 is considerably faster then Ultimate Edition 2.7.

2.9 will serve ya well.

is the above link to download 2.9 the only, because the download is very slow! It would be great to have a local linux server in mauritius in the future...hihihihi...

How slow?

Not the fastest, but I was getting around 450k download speed eta 2 hours my self.

hehe!that was super fast!im getting 8 kb per sec..and now its 20 kbps...normaly, for international dl i should get a max of 125- 145 kbps, and for local 250 kbps... the connections here are costly,and not that fast!
