Weird Pointer

Anyone else have a very large, plain pointer that changes to your selected pointer when hovering over Firefox? Strange, I have tried changing the pointer in my Customize options for the Theme, but it has no effect unless I am over a Firefox window.

If you are running Lucid or Maverick, open "software sources" and click "canonical.com/ubuntu lucid or maverick partners", also "pre-released" and "unsupported updates",and reload, open "update manager" you should see 3 compiz updates, compiz, compiz core and compiz plugins, install these as well as the rest of the updates, and all is well and good with your cursors ! Note,! be careful if testing Maverick with the pre-released and unsupported updates! and do not install a partial upgrade ! :ugeek:

Ticked the boxes for the updates you suggested, nothing listed for Compiz.

OK, Something is UP ! I have been building Ultimate Edition Studio from the ground up and have done so MANY times! and every time I build it I do the same thing with the updates! I read your response and reinstalled a fresh 10.4 to confirm the operation, BUT as you say no compiz update! Hmmm, I will continue to look into this! and post back! The compiz updates on 10.4 fresh install show up before I do any any tweaking, So the updates are in the existing repos ! as I do all 10.4 updates before I start building ! As my Avatar states, I will keep you abreast  of the situation ! sorry for any problem's
