A couple of unusual things-[SOLVED]

Postby Vespasian » Fri Jul 02, 2010 1:30 pm

I cannot stay logged in on websites ...automatically logged out in less than a minute, but the website still shows me logged in. Doesn't seem to be a cookie or flash issue. Java?

Also, all of my video playback is discoloured (everyone has blueish green skin etc), be it DVD or downloaded to disk... unless it is online video such as youtube, in which case, the colour is perfectly normal. I have looked through the Nvidea settings, am using the latest driver and have just updated everything as well.

What am I missing?

Sometimes totem will be the cause.
Applications > Sound & Video > Movie Player > Edit > Preferences > Display > Reset to Defaults
Also check the Hue in what ever other player you're using.

hi, The only cure i found(i had a similar issue in 2.6) was to disable compiz and themes, this made for a very boring desktop though. :(
I eventually did a reinstall, lucky for me 2.7 was released soon after i had had enough of trying to fix the problem, i could never get themes and copiz to restart properly.

Aye. Figured it was a hue problem, but I was looking in the wrong place to fix it (Nvidia control whatsit). So the video is now sorted. Thanks for the little pointer on the video player :D
