I installed vm virualbox and for that matter windows 7. But my virtual machine not detecting USB devices. The devices are present in virtual machine but not detected or grayed out in windows. I am using windows mobile and need to be synchronized with windows.
I need help how to make usb devices visible in virtual machine windows? Thanks

You need to share the USB for the VBox.
Look under USB option and share your USB in the VBox.

OK let's Go back to your problem , I need now screen shots from search in synaptic of USB,
OR install the USB MANAGER.
And see if the issue was solved for you.

Thanks for your kindness. I would like to inform you that now my box is detecting USB devices EXCEPT my windows mobile for which I installed this virtualbox. Otherwise I am happy with Linux.

Thanks Admin-Amir once again. I did whatever you asked. Even before installing these packages, I managed and windows was recognizing my USB flash drive and my chicony camera. MY PROBLEM NOW IS THAT IT IS NOT RECOGNIZING MY WINDOWS MOBILE.

ubuntu-mobile-default-settings,Cobex,Gnokii,librra0,librra-tools,gnome-phone-manager, usb-imagewriter, Synce-Sync-engine, gammu+gammu-i18,and please install those
packages under search in synaptic of "webcam":





it just looks like you did not install the Multimedia Guide
Then you will have all the support for your media questions like the Edit Video
