Boot splash problem....

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 2.7

Boot splash problem....

Postby N92 » Mon Jun 14, 2010 5:47 pm

Can someone tell me where the boot splash is located.
I opened up startup manager to change the boot splash resolution and the next time I booted up the boot splash was the original Ubuntu boot splash.
I just want to know where the Ultimate Edition boot splash is so that I can use ubuntu tweak to change the boot splash.

Thanks in advance. :)

in terminal
1)
sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth ,Then choose your splash by the number, press enter.
then
2)
sudo update-initramfs -u

Errr..... I spoke to soon.
I just rebooted and that sick purple boot slash came up again!
I also followed the link that was in the terminal to the boot splash and tried to change it with ubuntu tweak but that did not work either.
is there anything else i could try?

Hello N92.

well there is one more way for you to play with.

Go to system=>Admin=>Boot up manager.

There mark and EDIT the option the I have marked for you.
Then see if you can solve the issue.
